Chapter 11

A traditional technology I could use is CDs. During class I could play a CD during any free time the students have in the class to help them calm down and relax. It may not help them get smarter or learn more but it will help them relax.

An emerging technology I could use is internet radio. Just like how I would use a CD during any free time the students have in the class I would play internet radio to help them calm down and relax. Some examples of internet radio is pandora or spotify.

A traditional technology I could use is an overhead projector. The overhead projector can help show students how to do certain types of problems. The overhead can help especially in math classes to show how to do a specific problem.

A emerging technology I could use is a SmartBoard. The SmartBoard is similar to an overhead projector expect it is digital. You can create a powerpoint slide with math problems or any type of problem and you can show students how to do it hands on. Also you can project internet websites or movies or film clips to watch on the SmartBoard as well.

Chapter 6

I would prefer to teach in a classroom that has more digital technologies. The more digital technologies available in the classroom, the more ways I can teach students from different teaching approaches. All students learn differently and with different technologies it can help reach out to those students that learn differently than others. With all these different technologies it assures that students can learn to their certain learning type. Teachers can plan lessons better with the new technology and can help save a lot of time for teachers as well. These new digital technologies help students learn better and are very beneficial to have in the classroom.

My name is Michael Wiest, and I am a sophomore at Bowling Green State University. I am undecided on my major currently. I am deciding between Education or Business major. I am on the soccer team here at BGSU and play goalkeeper. I love playing all sports and enjoy watching them too. Besides playing soccer I am involved in TOMS on Campus and am the Treasurer for the club.
